Installing the Change Manager Server

To install the Change Manager software, follow the instructions in the "Installing, Configuring, and Accessing the Change Manager Server (Tasks)" in Sun Management Center Change Manager 1.0 Administration Guide.

The Change Manager software can be installed on an existing Sun Management Center server or on a server you create, as explained in the following sections.

Installing Change Manager Software on a New Server

If you are creating a Change Manager server for the first time, do the following before you begin:

• Choose the appropriate hardware and software for the Change Manager server. See "Change Manager Server" in Sun Management Center Change Manager 1.0 Administration Guide.

• Install and configure the Sun Management Center 3.0 and Change Manager 1.0 software on the Change Manager server. See "Installing and Configuring the Change Manager Server" in Sun Management Center Change Manager 1.0 Administration Guide.

Installing Change Manager Software on an Existing Sun Management Center Server

If you are already running Sun Management Center 3.0 on the system you plan to use as the Change Manager server, do the following before you begin:

• Verify that your server meets the hardware and software requirements for a Change Manager server. See "Hardware and Software Requirements (Reference)" in Sun Management Center Change Manager 1.0 Administration Guide.

• Install and configure the Change Manager 1.0 software on the Change Manager server. See "Installing and Configuring the Change Manager Server" in Sun Management Center Change Manager 1.0 Administration Guide.
