 slapi_ch_calloc()
Allocates space for an array of a number of elements of a specified size. This function calls the standard calloc() C function and terminates the slapd server with an "out of memory" error message if memory cannot be allocated.

Syntax

#include "slapi-plugin.h"
char * slapi_ch_calloc( unsigned long nelem,
unsigned long size );

Parameters

The function has the following parameters:
nelem

Number of elements that you want to allocate memory for.
size

Size of the element that you want to allocate memory for.

Returns

Pointer to the newly allocated space of memory. If space cannot be allocated (for example, if no more virtual memory exists), the slapd program terminates.
