 slapi_ch_strdup()
Makes a copy of an existing string. This function calls the standard strdup() C function and terminates the slapd server with an "out of memory" error message if memory cannot be allocated.

Syntax

#include "slapi-plugin.h"
char * slapi_ch_strdup( char *s );

Parameters

The function has the following parameters:
s

Pointer to the string you want to copy.

Returns

Pointer to a copy of the string. If space cannot be allocated (for example, if no more virtual memory exists), the slapd program terminates.
