 slapi_entry_alloc()
Allocates memory for a new entry of the data type Slapi_Entry. When you are done with the entry, you can free the entry by calling the slapi_entry_free() function.

Syntax

#include "slapi-plugin.h"
Slapi_Entry *slapi_entry_alloc();

Returns

A pointer to the newly allocated entry of the data type Slapi_Entry. If space cannot be allocated (for example, if no more virtual memory exists), the slapd program terminates.

Description

This function returns an empty Slapi_Entry structure. You can call other front-end functions to set the DN and attributes of this entry.

When you are no longer using the entry, you should free it from memory by calling the slapi_entry_free() function.
