System Requirements

This section provides information about the system requirements that must be met before Sun Update Connection – Enterprise is installed.

The bare-metal installation (BMI) server automates Linux distributions and operating system installation on a bare-metal system. For more information, see Sun Update Connection - Enterprise Bare Metal Installation Guide.


Distributions that support an application are marked with a plus sign (+), while distributions that do not support an application are marked with a minus sign (–).

A channel is a combination of distributions and architecture.
