Preface

The Sun Management Center 3.5 Update 1 Supplement describes new functionality in the SunTM Management Center system management solution.

In this document, the term “x86” refers to the Intel 32–bit family of microprocessor chips and compatible microprocessor chips made by AMD.


Who Should Use This Book

This book is intended for use by system administrators who have experience working with networks and understand networking terminology and technology. You should have a working knowledge of the Sun Management Center application and be familiar with the documentation for the Sun Management Center 3.5 core product and add-on products.

This document describes new functionality in Sun Management Center 3.5 Update 1. It contains the following chapters:
