Manual Backup from the Backup Client

At the command line, enter nwbackup to start the Backup program. This program is a client-side program that runs manual backups. Ad hoc backups are intended for quick backups of a few files initiated by a user. They do not generate bootstrap files or back up indexes, so they are not a replacement for scheduled backups.

In the Backup program, select the files to back up, then start the backup. Backup saves the selected files to backup volumes and makes entries in the client's file index and media database. During the next scheduled backup, the revised index and media database are backed up.
