Installation Issues

The following issue is known to exist when installing the WebSphere 2.0 plug-in.

Additional Patch Required

To run the WebSphere 2.0 plug-in, you must install patch 119655-01 to the Sun N1 Service Provisioning System software. To download the patch, go to http://sunsolve.sun.com.

If you install patch 119655–01 and you also plan to use the Windows 2000 Plug-In, you must also install patch 119656–01.

NullPointer Exception When Deploying Attached trade3.ear With a Modified Install Name (6302253)

A NullPointer exception is thrown when deploying attached trade3.ear with a modified install name. The following error message is displayed:

Error in deploying the application

Workaround: Ensure that the installName variable has a .ear extension.
