If you want to upgrade from the OS Provisioning Plug-In 2.0 to the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.1, you must upgrade sequentially to the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0, then to the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.1. The following procedure outlines the steps necessary to upgrade from the OS Provisioning Plug-In 2.0 to the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.1
Upgrade from the OS Provisioning Plug-In 2.0 to the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0.
To upgrade to the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0, you perform four separate tasks.
Acquire the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 package.
The OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 package is available for download at the Sun Download Center.
Add the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 package to your master server.
Follow the instructions in Adding the OS Provisioning Plug-In for Solaris to add the package to your system. Substitute the name of the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 package (for example, sun-spsosp-3.0-1.noarch.rpm for Linux systems) for the package name in the appropriate procedure.
Import the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 in your N1 SPS environment.
Follow the instructions in Adding the OS Provisioning Plug-In to N1 SPS to import the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 JAR file. Substitute the name of the OS Provisioning Plug-In 3.0 JAR file (com.sun.n1osp_2.0_3.0.jar) for the JAR file name in this procedure.
Upgrade the OS provisioning server and OS image servers.
