B.3 Options Passed to the Linker

cc recognizes -a, -e, -r, -t, -u, and -z and passes these options and their arguments to ld. cc passes any unrecognized options to ld with a warning. On Solaris platforms, the -i option and its arguments are also passed to the linker.
