以下範例顯示了如何使用 pfinstall 來測試名為 basic_prof 的設定檔。在已安裝 Solaris 10 軟體的系統上，針對系統的磁碟配置測試設定檔。basic_prof 設定檔位於 /jumpstart 目錄，而因為正在使用 Volume Manager 所以也會指定到 Solaris Software for SPARC Platforms - 1 CD 或 Solaris Software for x86 Platforms - 1 CD 影像的路徑。
