How to Create a New Printer Form Definition

1. On the print server, become superuser or assume an equivalent role.

   Roles contain authorizations and privileged commands. For more information about roles, see Configuring RBAC (Task Map) in System Administration Guide: Security Services.

2. Create a form definition file.

   For a description on creating printer forms, see Creating a New Printer Form. You should save the printer definition in a text file.

3. Add the form to the LP print service.

   # lpadmin -p printer-name -M -f form-name

4. Add the form to a print server.

   For instructions, see How to Add a Form.
