Sun Java System Portal Server 6 2004Q2 Migration Guide |
Chapter 10
Enabling Logon to a Different Organization or Suborganization
Migration from Sun ONE Portal Server 3.0 to Sun ONE Portal Server 6.2 sets the core authentication service organization URL mapping in the following manner:
Organization: organization name, for example:
siroe.com
Suborganization: suborganization, o=organization name, for example:
eng,o=siroe.com
Role: not applicable.
After a successful migration, if you want to access the Desktop for the default organization then use:
http://host:port/amserver/UI/login
This URI will display the default organization’s core authentication service authentication menu.
You can also use:
http://host:port/Deploy_URI/dt (for example, http://host:port/portal/dt)
This URI will also display the default organization’s core authentication service authentication menu. Deploy_URI is the value entered during installation.
If Sun ONE Portal Server 3.0 has more than one domain, then the organization URL is important. For example, if your Sun ONE Portal Server 3.0 deployment uses the domains siroe.com and sesta.com then you can authenticate and see the correct Desktop after migration by using:
http://host:port/amserver/UI/login?org=siroe.com
or
http://host:port/amserver/UI/login?org=sesta.com
The URL for accessing, for example, suborganization eng for organization siroe.com would be:
http://host:port/amserver/UI/login?org=eng,o=siroe.com
See Chapter 9 of the Sun ONE Identity Server Administrator’s Guide for customizations of the organization URL mapping attribute.
