Communications Services Component Product Dependencies

Communications Services have dependencies on other Sun Java System component products that provide infrastructure services. These component products include Sun Java^TM System Directory Server and, optionally, Sun Java System Access Manager. Additionally, Communication Services depend on a web server to serve HTML content and provide HTML connections. You can use Sun Java^TM System Web Server (formerly Sun^TM ONE Web Server) or Sun Java^TM Application Server to fulfill this need.

Communications Services also depend on the existence of DNS. You need to have a functioning DNS server before you can install the Communications Services products.
