This guide describes how to configure and administer the Sun JavaTM System Web Proxy Server 4, formerly known as Sun ONETM Web Proxy Server and iPlanetTM Web Proxy Server (and hereafter referred to as the Sun Java System Web Proxy Server or the Proxy Server).
This book is intended for information technology administrators in production environments. The guide assumes familiarity with the following areas:
Performing basic system administration tasks
Installing software
Using web browsers
Issuing commands in a terminal window
The Sun Java System Web Proxy Server can be purchased by itself or as a component of the Sun Java Enterprise System, a software infrastructure that supports enterprise applications distributed across a network or Internet environment.
