Mounting/Dismounting a DG Cartridge on a drive

Command: Maintenance > Diagnostics

You can test whether a drive can mount or dismount a cartridge from a CAP cell or diagnostic cartridge cell

Note: For all diagnostic tests on a drive, use a diagnostic cartridge as these tests will destroy all the data on the cartridge. A diagnostic cartridge is a data cartridge with a "DG" label, which is used for diagnostic routines.

To mount a cartridge to a drive:

1. Click Mount.

2. Select the Drive ID from the pull down menu.

3. Click Start.

4. Enter your library password and click OK.

To dismount a cartridge to a drive:

1. Click Dismount.

2. Select the Drive ID from the pull down menu.

3. Click Start.

4. Enter your library password and click OK.

Note: This diagnostic test is available only on Lxxx libraries.
