To start the Administration Server on Windows

• Use Start > Programs > Sun Microsystems > Sun Java System Web Proxy Server version > Start Admin

  -or-

  Use Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0 > Start

  -or-

• From a command prompt, go to server_root\\proxy-admserv and type startsvr.bat to start the Administration Server (or ./restart to restart the Administration Server).

After the Administration Server has been started, it can be accessed by launching a browser and entering a URL that reflects the host name and port number specified for the Administration Server during installation (for example, http://myserver.mycorp.com:1234). You will be prompted for a user name and password, both of which were also specified during installation.

More than one administrator can be granted access to the Administration Server. For more information about distributed administration, see Allowing Multiple Administrators.
