ProcedureTo Turn On Global Security of IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.1.1

  1. In the IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.1.1 Administration Console, navigate to Global security page.

    1. Expand the Security node.

    2. Click Global security.

      A new page opens.

  2. Turn on global security.

  3. (Optional) Turn on java2.policy.

  4. In the same tab, Active Authentication mechanism, select LTPA.

  5. For Active User Register, select Custom User Registry.

  6. Save and apply changes to Master configuration.

    If you made any mistakes in the configuration prior to this step, this step will fail.
