Locating the Web Agent AMAgent.properties Configuration File

The following table provides the default location for the web agent AMAgent.properties configuration file on the supported platforms.

where _PathInstanceName is derived from the full path to the web server instance directory. This _PathInstanceName directory is automatically created and named during the agent installation process.

The following is the full path to the web server instance directory:

/WebServer-base/https-web-server-instance-name.

WebServer-base

Represents the installation directory for Sun Java System Web Server 6.1. The following is an example of a conceivable Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 installation directory:

/opt/SUNWwbsvr/
web-server-instance-name

Represents the FQDN of Sun Java System Web Server 6.1. The following is an example of a conceivable Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 instance name:

host2.eng.example.com

Therefore, the following is an example of a full path to the web server instance directory:

/opt/SUNWwbsvr/https-host2.eng.example.com

The process of creating a name for the _PathInstanceName directory involves the conversion of forward slash symbols “/” into underscore symbols “_.”

For example, the preceding example of a web server instance name would be converted to the following _PathInstanceName directory name:

_opt_SUNWwbsvr_https-host2.eng.example.com
