This chapter first presents you with a method for disabling a web agent. The task is the same for all web agents on all platforms. Then the chapter leads you through the uninstallation process on the available platforms as follows:
Solaris Systems: Agent Uninstallation for Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0
Windows Systems: Agent Uninstallation for Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0
Linux Systems: Agent Uninstallation for Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0
In certain situations, you might want to disable a web agent temporarily. You can disable any web agent by resetting the property that controls the not-enforced URI list in the web agent AMAgent.properties configuration file.
This task requires that you reset the following property:
com.sun.am.policy.agents.config.notenforced_list |
Reset the value of this property to the asterisk, “*,” as follows:
com.sun.am.policy.agents.config.notenforced_list = *
Restart Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0.
You can uninstall a web agent on a Solaris system using a graphical user interface (GUI) or using the command line. However, keep the following in mind:
Be sure to use the unconfig script to uninstall any web agent that was installed using the config script. The uninstallation program must be executed only after unconfiguring all the existing web agents using the command-line unconfig script.
If you want to uninstall the deployment container, make sure that you uninstall the web agent before you uninstall the deployment container.
To remove a web agent that was configured using the config script, use the script unconfig. The unconfig script is located in the following directory:
PolicyAgent-base/SUNWam/agents/proxy4/bin
The following is an example run of the unconfig script.
# ./unconfig WebProxy-base/web-proxy-instance-name Unconfiguring Proxy Server ... done. |
