To Turn On Global Security for WebSphere Application Server 6.1

1. In the WebSphere Application Server 6.1 Administration Console, navigate to Global security page.

   1. Expand the Security node.

   2. Click “Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure”. A new page opens.

2. Check the “Enable administrative security” checkbox.

3. Make sure that “Enable application security” is also checked.

4. Optionally, enable “Java 2 security” on the same page.

5. Click Apply.

6. Click “Save directly to the master configuration”.
