Perform the following steps to deploy Brightmail.
Install and Configure Brightmail. Refer to the Brightmail software documentation or representative for installation and configuration information. Selected Brightmail configuration options are shown in 14.3.4 Brightmail Configuration Options, however the most complete and up-to-date information is in the Brightmail documentation.
Load and Configure the Brightmail Client Library. This involves specifying the Brightmail client library, libbmiclient.so, and configuration, config, file to the MTA. See 14.2.1 Loading and Configuring the Spam Filtering Software Client Library
Specify what messages to filter for spam. Messages can be filtered by user, domain, or channel. See 14.2.2 Specifying the Messages to Be Filtered
Specify what actions to take on spam messages. Spam can be discarded, filed into a folder, tagged on the subject line, and so on. See 14.2.3 Specifying Actions to Perform on Spam Messages
Set miscellaneous MTA filter configuration parameters as desired. See Table 14–1.
