New Features in Sun GlassFish Web Space Server 10.0 Update 5

The following are the new features added with Web Space Server 10.0 Update 5 release:

• Secure Remote Access

• SharePoint Integration

• Document Library Migration

Secure Remote Access

The Secure Web Access Add-On for Sun GlassFish Web Space Server 10.0 software enables remote internet users to securely access a website. It also enables secure access within the intranet of an organization.

Web Space Server offers browser-based secure remote access to portal content and services from any remote device. Web Space Server is a secure access solution that is accessible to users from any device with a Java^TM technology-enabled browser, eliminating the need for client software. Integration with Web Space Server ensures that users receive secure encrypted access to the content and services that they have permission to access.

Secure Web Access software is targeted towards enterprises deploying highly secure remote access portals. These portals emphasize security, protection, and privacy of intranet resources. The architecture of Secure Web Access is well suited to these types of portals. It enables users to securely access intranet resources through the Internet without exposing these resources to the Internet.

SharePoint Integration

The collaboration framework provided by Microsoft SharePoint Services is integrated with Web Space Server. This enables presenting SharePoint services through Web Space Server.

Document Library Migration

This feature enables migrating files in the Document Library from File System to JCR repository and vice-versa. The Document Library Data Migration feature is available with Web Space Server 10.0 Update 5, and do not require separate installation.
