Who Should Use This Guide

This guide is intended for software developers who want to design global products and applications for the Solaris 7 environment software developers.

This guide assumes knowledge of the C programming language, and a few chapters discuss X11^TMNeWS window system toolkits.

All operating system information pertains to the Solaris7 SunOS^TM 5.7 operating environment. The hardware platforms covered are SPARC^TM and Intel x86.
