This section contains the known bugs in the SSP 3.1.1 release. These bugs are in addition to the known bugs that are documented in the Sun Enterprise 10000 SSP 3.1.1 Installation and Release Notes document that was published with the web release of SSP 3.1.1.
The ssp_upgrade script does not handle errors from pkgadd(1M) very well. It does not exit when a pkgadd(1M) fails, and it displays an error that can be easily overlooked. This condition is more likely to happen when the SSP does not have enough disk space.
Workaround: Make sure enough disk space exists on the SSP before you attempt to upgrade or install SSP 3.1.1. The total size of the SSP packages is approximately 38.17 megabytes. The majority of the SSP files are installed in the /opt directory.
SUNWsspue post-install script overwrites the dtwmrc file, causing it to be owned by root:other instead of ssp:staff.
Workaround: If you do not change this file, no action is required. However, if you do change the dtwmrc file, you must log in to the SSP as superuser and change the owner and group of the dtwmrc file to ssp:staff, unless you edit this file while you are logged in as superuser.
