How to Configure a Server With NIS Compatibility

1. Edit the /etc/init.d/rpc file on the server to uncomment the whole line containing the string -EMULYP="-Y".

   To do this, remove the # character from the beginning of the line.

2. Type the following as superuser.

   client1# rpc.nisd -Y
