This document contains additional information for the Sun SNMP Management Agent Administrative Guide for Sun Fire and Netra Systems, 817-2559-16. Do not use it with any other document.
Support for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers has been added to the software and the associated SNMP administrative guide.
The following bugs were known at the time of publication.
Certain FRUs are identified incorrectly by the SNMP agent.

The SNMP agent reports the following items as having an incorrect entPhysicalIsFRU property:
This is an error and can be ignored.
The XVR-1200 graphics card is identified incorrectly as the XVR-500.
The XVR-1200 graphics card is listed incorrectly as a XVR-500 graphics card in the Expansion Card Table.
Work around is to verify if the graphics accelerator is listed correctly: check the IO Devices section of the output of the /usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/prtdiag command.
Certain FRUs are identified incorrectly by the SNMP agent on Netra 210 servers.
The SNMP agent reports the following items as having an incorrect entPhysicalIsFRU property:
This is an error and can be ignored.
The picl daemon does not cause the update of the sunPlatObjectCreation trap after the hot swap of a power supply for Netra 1280/1290 servers.
Work around is to stop and restart picl.
The serial number and hostname are not provided in the sunPlatNotificatAdditionalText property of the sunPlatEquipmentAlarm and sunPlatEnvironmentalAlarm traps for the Netra 1280 and Sun Fire 1280 servers.
entPhysicalName and entPhysicalContainedIn incorrect in SNMP for alarm relays, alarm, and system LEDs for Netra 210 and 1290 servers.
entPhysicalContainedIn is incorrect for some entitites for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers.
HDD and Fan Tray FRU entities are missing certain variables for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers.
sunPlatEquipmentHolder variables incorrect/non-existent for certain containers for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers.
ACT, SERVICE, and LOCATE LED entities are not the same on Sun Fire V215 and V245 servers.
entPhysicalName for DVD FRU entity is incompatible with the DVD container for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers.
Several FRU's and/or containers are not listed in the MIB for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers.
sunPlatCircuitPackType for the DIMM FRU is "Unknown" for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers.
