This document contains additional information for the Sun SNMP Management Agent Administrative Guide for Sun Fire and Netra Systems, 817-2559-16. Do not use it with any other document.


Support for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 Servers

Support for Sun Fire V215, V245 and V445 servers has been added to the software and the associated SNMP administrative guide.


Bugs

The following bugs were known at the time of publication.

Note - This bug does not apply to the Sun Fire V440 and Netra 440 platforms.



The SNMP agent reports the following items as having an incorrect entPhysicalIsFRU property:

This is an error and can be ignored.

single-step bulletThe XVR-1200 graphics card is identified incorrectly as the XVR-500.

The XVR-1200 graphics card is listed incorrectly as a XVR-500 graphics card in the Expansion Card Table.

Work around is to verify if the graphics accelerator is listed correctly: check the IO Devices section of the output of the /usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/prtdiag command.

6296350 and 6296523 (Similar to 4895527)

single-step bulletCertain FRUs are identified incorrectly by the SNMP agent on Netra 210 servers.

The SNMP agent reports the following items as having an incorrect entPhysicalIsFRU property:

Work around is to stop and restart picl.
