The RDBMS environments need to be previously installed.
Installing the demo consists of three steps:
Run the plan to create the resources. Choose the plan according to the RDBMS installed.
Install the EAR application.
Restart the application server.
You must install your database prior to running the demo.
In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.
Click the Demo Application Configuration for Oracle RDBMS: Configure link.
The plan's Details page displays.
Click Run.
Click Select From List for the TradeOracleJDBC component.
Click Select From List for the TradeOracleDataSource component.
Select a target host.
Type the cell name for the Deployment Manager or the node name for a Standalone install.
Change the user ID to userID of RDBMS database and password to password of user ID of RDBMS database.
(Optional) If you have not created the JMS Resources, select the Create JMS Resources check box and type the location of the create script.
Click Run Plan (Includes Preflight).
In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.
Click the Enterprise Applications (EAR): Create link.
The plan's Details page displays.
Navigate to trade3.ear.
Click the Check In Selected Item button.
Click the Check In button.
Click on the component that you created for the archive file.
Click the Run action of Install.
Change the variable installName to trade3.
Check the variable dbType to your database type.
Click Save.
In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.
From Application Server Instances, stop and start the application server instance.
Open a browser window and go to http://servername:9080/trade

Click Select From List for the TradeDB2DataSource component.

Click the Check In Selected Item button.
Click the Check In button.
Click on the component that you created for the archive file.
Click the Run action of Install.
Change the variable installName to trade3.
Check the variable dbType to your database type.
Click Save.
In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.
From Application Server Instances, stop and start the application server instance.
Open a browser window and go to http://servername:9080/trade
In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.
Click the Demo Application Configuration for Oracle RDBMS: Remove Resources link.
The plan's Details page displays.
Click Run.
Select a target host.
Type the plan variables.
Cell name or node name in case of a Standalone
User to run the command
Click Run Plan (Includes Preflight).
In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.
Click the Demo Application Configuration for DB2 RDBMS: Remove Resources link.
The plan's Details page displays.
Click Run.
Select a target host.
Type the plan variables.
Cell name or node name in case of a Standalone
User to run the command
Click Run Plan (Includes Preflight).
