How to Create a J2C Authentication Alias

Create authentication alias.

Steps

1. In the Common Tasks section in the browser interface, click WebSphere 5.1.

2. Click the J2C Authentication Alais: Create link.

3. Select from current installations.

4. Click Run Selected Installations.

5. Type plan variables.

   • Name of the authentication alias

   • J2C authentication data user ID

   • Password to use for the target Enterprise Information System

   • (Optional) Description of the alias

   • Cell name or node name in case of a Standalone

   • WebSphere Directory

   • User to run the command

6. Click Run Plan (Includes Preflight)
