The Sun N1 Service Provisioning System does not check for package dependencies. Be sure to install packages in the proper sequence.
In the Common Tasks section of the browser interface main window, click the Solaris icon.
Click the Solaris Datastream Package Component: Install link
Click the Select From List link in the Plan Parameters table.
In the Component Variables window, click Create Set.
Type the new Set Name.
Select the installPath check box and type a unique value.
The InstallPath value must be unique. If you do not change the installPath component variable for each installation, only the most recently installed component is available for uninstallation.
(Optional) Select the installRoot check box and type a relative root path.
This is used as the -R option to the pkgadd command.
Select the pkgNames check box and type space–separated package names.
Select the pkgLocation check box and type the absolute path of the datastream package location.
(Optional) Override the installation administration file, admin file, parameters by clicking boxes next to admin file component variables and entering the values
Select the streamPkgName check box and type the name of the datastream package.
The plug-in supports only one datastream package name.
Click Save and Select.
Click the Select From List link for the Target Host.
Select a host and click the Add Hosts to Main Window button.
(Optional) Select the markOnly installation check box.
Click Run Plan (Includes Preflight).
In the Common Tasks section of the browser interface main window, click the Solaris icon.
The Common Tasks for the Solaris Plug-In appear in the right panel of the browser interface.
Click the Solaris Datastream Package Component: Uninstall link
Select host install path.
Click Run Selected Installations.
Select plan variable.
markonly uninstall
Click Run Plan (Includes Preflight).
