NAME

 create-profiler - creates the profiler element

SYNOPSIS

 create-profiler --user admin_user[ --password admin_password ][ --host localhost ] [ --port 4848 ][ --passwordfile filename ][ --secure|-s ] [ --instance instance_name ]--classpath classpath [ --nativelibpath native_library_path ][ --enabled=true ] [ --property (name=value)[ :name=value ]* ]profiler_name

DESCRIPTION

 

Creates the profiler element. A server instance is tied to a particular profiler, by the profiler element in the Java configuration. Changing a profiler requires you to restart the server.


OPTIONS

 
--user
administrative user associated for the instance.
--password
administrative password corresponding to the administrative user.
--host
host name of the machine hosting the administrative instance.
--port
administrative port number associated with the administrative host.
--passwordfile
file containing passwords appropriate for the command (e.g., administrative instance).
--secure
if true, uses SSL/TLS to communicate with the administrative instance.
--instance
name of the instance.
--classpath
Java classpath string that specifies the classes needed by the profiler.
--nativelibpath
automatically constructed to be a concatenation of the Application Server installation relative path for its native shared libraries, standard JRE native library path, the shell environment setting (LD_LIBRARY_PATH on UNIX) and any path that may be specified in the profile element.
--enabled
profiler is enabled by default.
--property
name/value pairs of provider specific attributes.

OPERANDS

 
profiler_name
name of the profiler.

EXAMPLES

 Example 1. Using create-profiler
 
 
asadmin> create-profiler --user admin --passwordfile passwords.txt 
--host localhost --port 4848 --instance server1 
--classpath com.iplanet.ias.profile.Profiler --nativelibpath /u/home/lib 
--no-enabled --property defaultuser=admin:password=adminadmin sample_profiler
Created Profiler with id = sample_profiler

Where: sample_profiler is the profiler created.
