Client Systems FAQs

Question: Do I need to consider any special client needs or restrictions for use with a cluster?

Answer: Client systems connect to the cluster as they would to any other server. In some instances, depending on the data service application, you might need to install client-side software or perform other configuration changes so that the client can connect to the data service application. See Chapter 1, Planning for Oracle Solaris Cluster Data Services, in Oracle Solaris Cluster Data Services Planning and Administration Guide for more information about client-side configuration requirements.
