以下範例顯示如何使用 pfinstall 來測試名為 basic_prof 的設定檔。設定檔根據已安裝 Solaris 9 軟體的系統之磁碟配置來進行測試。basic_prof 設定檔位於 /jumpstart 目錄中，而到達 Solaris 9 Software 1 of 2 SPARC Platform Edition CD 的路徑是或 Solaris 9 Software 1 of 2 Intel Platform Edition CD 指定影像因為已使用容積管理員。
