How to Restart NFS Services

  1. Become superuser or assume an equivalent role.

    For information about roles, see “Using Privileged Applications” in System Administration Guide: Security Services.

  2. To enable daemons without rebooting, type the following commands. 


# /etc/init.d/nfs.server stop
# /etc/init.d/nfs.server start

This remedy stops and restarts the daemons if an entry is in /etc/dfs/dfstab.
