How to Set Up an NTP Server

Become superuser.

Create the ntp.conf file.
To ensure proper execution of the xntpd daemon, the ntp.conf file must first be created. The ntp.server
file can be used as a template.
# cd /etc/inet
# cp ntp.server ntp.conf

Start the xntpd daemon.
# /etc/init.d/xntpd start

How to Set Up an NTP Client
