New in Solaris Bandwidth Manager 1.6

Solaris Bandwidth Manager 1.6 is a follow-on release from Sun^TM Bandwidth Allocator 1.0. It provides the following additional features:

• Regulation of incoming and outgoing traffic

• Differentiated Services/Type of Service support

• Classification of web traffic based on URLs

• Improved accounting and billing

• Ability to work with a directory service

• Dynamic configuration

• The ability to send events that can be read by a system that supports version 5 of the CISCO NetFlow protocol

• Additional and improved APIs
