This chapter describes the Sun JavaTM System Portal Server perftune() script.
This chapter provides the following sections:
Administrators typically run the Portal Server perftune script before performance tests or during system production.
The script does the following:
Modifies the following desktopconfig.properties file:
/etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/desktopconfig.properties
Invokes the Access Manager amtune script
Tunes the SolarisTM Operating System kernel and transmission control protocol (TCP) settings
Prevents the script from tuning a system that lacks adequate memory
The amtune script makes configuration changes in the following Portal Server components:
Web Server
Application Server
Directory Server
Access Manager
