ProcedureSPARC: How to Install Sun Logical Domains Software and Create Domains

Perform this procedure to install Sun Logical Domains (LDoms) software on a physically clustered machine and to create I/O and guest domains.

Before You Begin

Perform the following tasks:

  1. Become superuser on the machine.

  2. Install Sun Logical Domains software and configure domains.

    • Follow the procedures in Installing and Enabling Software in Logical Domains (LDoms) 1.0.3 Administration Guide.

      If you create guest domains, adhere to the Sun Cluster guidelines for creating guest domains in a cluster.

    • Use the mode=sc option for all virtual switch devices that connect the virtual network devices that are used as the cluster interconnect.

    • For shared storage, map only the full SCSI disks into the guest domains.
