Sun Java System Message Queue 4.3 Administration Guide

Destination Attributes

The destination administered object that identifies a physical queue or topic destination has only two attributes, listed in Table 18–9. The important one is imqDestinationName, which gives the name of the physical destination that this administered object represents; this is the name that was specified with the -n option to the imqcmd create dst command that created the physical destination. (Note that there is not necessarily a one-to-one relationship between destination administered objects and the physical destinations they represent: a single physical destination can be referenced by more than one administered object, or by none at all.) There is also an optional descriptive string, imqDestinationDescription, which you can use to help identify the destination object and distinguish it from others you may have created.
