Running pkgadd

When you run the software installation utility, pkgadd, you will see the following message:

The following packages are available:

1 trp SUNWtrip

Select package(s) you wish to process (or 'all' to process all packages).

(default: all) [?,??,q]:

1. Press [RETURN] to select the trp package. If you do not have any SunTRI/P 1.0 Adapters in your machine the pkgadd installation process will display an error message and abort. If you do have one or more adapters in your machine pkgadd will display the following message (where <N> is the number of Sun adapters in your machine):

Processing package instance <trp> from </var/spool/pkg>

SunTRI/P 1.0 Adapters support a range of maximum frame sizes between 256 and 17389 bytes. The default and recommended value is 4096 bytes.

Please specify a maximum frame size (256-17389) [4096] ?

2. Specify the maximum frame size that the trp driver will use.

If you want to use the default maximum frame size press [ENTER], otherwise type a number and press [ENTER].
