Error message when launching AnswerBook2 from the CDE front panel |
If you do not have an HTML 3.2-compliant web browser on your system, install the browser from the Solaris product CD and try again. If you launch a browser, but it cannot find a documentation server, you need to find a valid URL for the documentation server and use your browser's normal functions to go to that URL. The URL for a documentation server is typically http://server_name:8888/, for example http://imaserver:8888/ |
If you do not have a local documentation server, but have Internet access, you can view all released Solaris documentation at http://docs.sun.com |
Problems using the AnswerBook2 printing function |
Set up the application/postscript mime type in your browser to print to a file or directly to a printer. |
For more information about the AnswerBook2 printing function, see Chapter 6, Printing AnswerBook2 Documents. |
Unrecognized characters on the library page |
Either change your language preference or change the language encoding in your browser. |
For more information about defining language preferences, see "Specifying a Language" and "Specifying Language Encoding". |
A document collection that you are certain exists is not listed on the library page |
Check your Personal Library definition to see if it includes the "missing" collection. |
For information on defining your Personal Library, see "Defining Your Personal Library". |
If you see a TCL script exception message, this means that something is wrong with the book you are trying to view. |
Ask whoever provided the book source for a fixed version of the book. |
