Administration Console

The Admin Console is a Java tool that enables you to configure, maintain, and monitor the Sun Directory Services. You can use the Admin Console from any machine on your network if there is an HTTP server on the machine where you have installed the Sun Directory Services. If you do not have an HTTP server, you can download the Sun WebServer^TM free of charge from http://www.sun.com/webserver.

If you do not have a web server colocated with the directory server, you can view the Admin Console locally by pointing a browser at the HTML files, or you can use the application version of the Admin Console.
