Gathering Information

For a serial connection, your Internet service provider determines the information you need. Your provider may require all or only some of the following information:

• Your login user name

• Telephone number of the service provider

• PC COM port number

• Name service (DNS)

• IP address for your PC

• Name and IP address of name server

• Modem speed and parity setting
