What Is in the Registry?

The Solaris Product Registry consists of two parts.

• The system registry lists Solaris software, all svr4 packages, and all software installed and registered by the root user.

• The user registry lists software installed and registered by a user other than the root user.

The Solaris Product Registry window contains three areas of information.

• On the left, a list of installed and registered software

• In the upper right column, standard attributes of the currently selected software

• In the bottom right, an informational section showing internal and customized attributes of the currently selected software
