In a Sun Cluster configuration, perform the following steps on all nodes when you install OPS.
Edit the /etc/system file by using your favorite text editor, for example:
# vi /etc/system |
Look for a line similar to the following:
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=10000000 |
If your Oracle documentation explains this line, then skip Step 4 and Step 5. Otherwise, perform Step 4 and Step 5.
The Oracle7 and Oracle8 documentation always supersedes the information in this section.
If the number is less than 10 million, change the number to 10 million (-10000000). Otherwise, leave the number as is.
Depending on the size of the database, you may have to change this number later as part of the OPS installation.
Reboot all nodes.
