This manual, Sun Cluster 2.2 Cluster Volume Manager Guide, describes Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) as it is used with Sun Cluster systems. CVM is a variation of and incorporates the Sun StorEdge Volume ManagerTM (SSVM). It is produced by Veritas. CVM is designed specifically for use in a clustered system environment.
This manual is written for two audiences: experienced system administrators with networking knowledge and programmers who are designing applications that incorporate and/or use Sun Cluster.
In order to fully use the information in this document, you must be thoroughly familiar with the topics described in the books referenced in the section "Related Documents" as appropriate to your purchased product. For procedural information and document references, refer to the appropriate manual. For terms and definitions, refer to the glossary in the Sun Cluster 2.2 System Administration Guide.
This document may not contain information on basic UNIXTMcommands and procedures such as shutting down the system, booting the system, and configuring devices.
