Release Notes for the GNOME 2.0 Desktop

These release notes contain information relevant to the GNOME 2.0 desktop for the SolarisTM Operating Environment, at the time of product release. Read this document before you install the desktop.

Desktop Features

The GNOME 2.0 desktop for the Solaris Operating Environment is the first release supported by Sun Microsystems of this easy-to-use, advanced user environment. The GNOME 2.0 desktop embodies a familiar desktop metaphor that enables you to interact efficiently with the applications and documents you use every day.
