iPlanet Web Server Version 4.1

The iPlanet Web Server Version 4.1 is included in this package for development purposes ONLY. There is no direct development support for the iPlanet Web Server. The distribution is located on the iPlanet Web Server Version 4.1 Compact disc.

See the Installation Instructions on the CD for more details about the installation process.

iPlanet Application Server Enterprise Edition 6.0

The iPlanet Application Server Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 included in this package for development purposes ONLY. The distribution is located on the iPlanet Developer Pack Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 Compact disc.

The simplest install is to use EZsetup, which does not require a license key. If you choose to do a different install, the license key is included with the package.

Installation on Windows NT:

See the Instructions located at iPlanet_Developer_Pack_EE_60\iPlanet_Application_Server_60_SP2\NT\iAS\README.txt.

Installation on Solaris:

See the Instructions located at iPlanet_Developer_Pack_EE_60/iPlanet_Application_Server_60_SP2/Solaris/iAS/README.txt.

Forte for Java Internet Edition Version 2.0

Forte for Java Internet Edition Version 2.0 provides rapid application development capability and full integration with the iPlanet Application Server Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 . The distribution is located on the iPlanet Developer Pack Enterprise Edition Version 6.0 Compact disc.

The iPlanet Application Server Integration Tool is also located on the iPlanet Developer Pack Enterprise Edition Compact disc. The Integration Tool provides transparent integration, as well as automated testing and debugging with the iPlanet Application Server.

Installation on Windows NT or Solaris:

See the Installation Instructions located at iPlanet_Developer_Pack_EE_60\Forte_for_Java directory for more details about the installation process.

Note: You will need to install the JDK 1.3 which is available from java.sun.com .

WebGain Studio Version 4.1 Trailware

The Developer Pack Companion CD contains a trialware version of WebGain Studio Version 4.1. See the Installation Instructions on this compact disc for more details about the installation process.

The iPlanet Application Server Integration Tool for WebGain Studio is located on the iPlanet Developer Pack Enterprise Edition Compact disc. The Integration Tool provides transparent integration, as well as automated testing and debugging with the iPlanet Application Server.
