Issues and Limitations

iPlanet Integration Tool Issues and Limitations

The following issues have been addressed in this release and a workaround is provided.

ID Summary
539710 When you have a webless installation of the iPlanet Application Server, the welcome-file list is not supported.
Workaround: On the machine where the webserver instance is located, register the application again using the iasdeploy command.

The following issues have been deferred for a future release of the iPlanet Integration tool.

ID Summary
535102 If you have a package name that begins with a number, the package execution fails.
535970 The Deployment Descriptor Editor marks the file as dirty even in "read only" mode. This is a known issue that does not affect your application development. Simply dismiss the window.
537189 While setting up a security role for a web application, attempting to remove one of the rows for the "Access Control for Resource Collection" in the WebApp Editor an exception is encountered.

538679 When you rename servlets you lose the mapping information.
538791 On Solaris, while registering the server, if the left arrow button is selected you lose the focus on the field.
539528 If you have a blank space in a directory name of a WAR file, the deployment fails.
540879 When creating an HTML page and executing it to the iPlanet Application Server, the HTML file does not execute.

538077 Since the Help window is modal, to switch to editing or any other Forte window, you must first dismiss the Help window.

538240 In the Customize bean dialog, edits in the ServletInfo field are sometimes not saved.
538244 The customize bean menu for the Remote/Home interfaces sometimes does not appear.
538602 Double-clicking on an EJB .jar file in Forte Explorer, removes the .jar extension.
539497 Typing a new directory name and pressing enter in the "New Web Module" dialog returns an error message that says the directory is not valid. However, if you select the Finish buton instead, it works fine.
