The Role Mappings section of the window contains the security roles already defined in the web module. Select a user or group name in the role mappings to enable the Remove button allowing you to remove that role map.
The Users and Groups lists are managed by the Add/Delete buttons. When adding a new user or group it must correspond with the users and groups that have been defined in the LDAP directory server. The LDAP directory server security definitions store the identity and authentication information for the server that this web module will be deployed to. To add a selected user or group to the selected role mapping, select the Add User/Group to Role buttons.
Consult the iPlanet Application Server documentation for information on setting security definitions at the LDAP directory server level.
Users | |
Add User | Click to add a specific user who will have access to use this application. A dialog appears allowing you to specify the LDAP user name. |
Delete User | Select a user you want to delete from the Users window. Click Delete User to delete the selected user. |
Add User to Role | Select the user and the Role Mapping you wish to add it to. Then, click Add User to Role. The user is added to the Role Mappings window. |
Groups | |
Add Group | Click to add a specific user group that will have access to use this application. A dialog appears allowing you to specify the LDAP group name. |
Delete Group | Select a Group you want to delete from the Groups window. Click Delete Group to delete the selected group. |
Add Group to Role | Select the group and the Role Mapping you wish to add it to. Then, click Add Group to Role. The group is added to the Role Mappings window. |
